How to Export Your Drawings to CAD
Follow these steps to export your project as a scaled DXF vector file.
Step 1. Sketch & Hit Export
Draw something amazing! When you're done, tap the "Export" button on the top right.
Important Note
Vector export is only available for drawings created in the latest version of Trace. Please update here.
Step 2. Select Vector
Select "Vector" to save your drawing as a DXF file. Then tap "Continue".
Step 3. Import
Import the DXF file into your favorite CAD, design, or 3D software including Autodesk AutoCAD, MicroStation, Vectorworks, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, Archicad, Shapr3D, Adobe Illustrator, and more. From here you can advance your drawing, extrude it into a 3D model, or even use it to laser cut your design!
