Built directly into Morpholio, AI Scale simplifies your project setup. By reading the scale of your imported drawings, it calibrates your tools for you without compromising your privacy or control of the design process. In seconds, you can start sketching with precise dimensions, rulers, and Smart Fill for areas and hatching.
AI Scale is built on Apple's VisionKit which means that despite the magic, your projects never leave your device and predictions are generated from the iPad or iPhone’s own processors, not data centers. It’s local AI with a narrow scope and a daily benefit.

How to Use AI Scale
Step 01. Detect Your Scale
First, import a drawing (PDF or image) that has the scale written out. Next, tap the AI Scale button.
Pro Tip
Not seeing your Scale button? After you set your scale for the first time, this button moves inside your Wrench button. Learn more here.
Step 02. Select Your Scale
Here’s where the AI magic begins. The new AI Scale tool detects any scales written on your drawing and recommends them to you. Simply tap the Yellow Button to select your preferred scale.
Step 3. Sketch to Scale
Trace will automatically set up your rulers, dimensions and other tools such as Smart Fill, for areas and hatching, to work at your scale. Favorite Trace tools like Scale Pen for systemizing lineweights and Stencils remain at your fingertips to help bring drawings to life.
Step 04. Reset Your Scale
Have a page with multiple scales, such as a detail sheet? You can always pick a new scale. Just tap the Wrench, select "Scale", and then "Set Scale". This will bring back the AI Scale-detected options for you to scroll through to pick a new scale.
Pro Tip
If you don't see the scale you need in the AI Scale options, tap "Set Manually" to adjust your scale based on a known dimension. You can also tap "Standard Scales" to pick a scale from the list or add a custom scale using the "+" button from this menu.
